Absolute enlightenment equals the state of being of the creator without manifestation. The truth of the creator, of course, is the unmanifest potential. That which can be everything but is nothing. That state is without any form of perception because there is nothing that could possibly be perceived.
Why is that?
Because in order to perceive anything there has to be a perceiver, aka an I, or an ego. This is something/someone that can be created, meaning it can be imagined, but it is not the truth. It is an illusion that nonetheless feels real while it is being experienced. It is, in fact, imagined by the creator to actually have an experience. For want of a better word, we could simply call it existence. That is how the unmanifest, that which cannot be perceived or articulated, becomes both the creator of all-that-is and all-that-is simultaneously. Thus, creation simply describes the process of everything being born out of nothing.
So we could say that absolute en”light”enment is balanced by absolute darkness. It is a state where light and dark cancel each other out, and everything collapses into relative nonexistence. It is not a void, because in a void there would truly be nothing - absolute nonexistence - which is impossible, but it appears as void since what is there cannot be perceived or experienced.
Therefore, what is commonly called enlightenment must not be misunderstood as experiencing the unmanifest, as that would equal nonperception and nonideation, thus relative nonexistence.
The term enlightenment, as it is generally used, merely describes a state of being that is a fully expanded state of ego consciousness, in which the ego encompasses everything in creation, and becomes more at the same rate at which creation itself expands. There is nothing that is not creation, and there is nothing that is not the I. The I (ego) has been realized as being all-that-is. There no longer is anything that is perceived to be separate from the self, so there is no inside and no outside, and, consequently, no pressure and no resistance.
It can be experienced as a state of complete stillness and peace while at rest, but it can also be joyful if change (creation and destruction) appears to take place. The difference merely lies in the point of focus. When the unity of everything is suddenly realized as the self, the experience is one of overwhelming and indescribable bliss. This happens due to the collapsing of all imagined barriers within the self, and the resulting explosive expansion of consciousness.
To conclude, we could say that: Relative enlightenment is the state of being in which the expansion and limitlessness of creation is experienced as self.
It bears repeating what has already been said elsewhere: To deny, reject, suppress, dissolve, or kill the ego is not just impossible, because it literally is us, and we cannot be killed. It is also very counterintuitive if the pull towards enlightenment, or unity consciousness, is felt.
The goal should rather be to facilitate the growth of one’s ego. In order to do that, we have to remove the resistance to all that we perceive to be outside of us, but which is really inside. This will result in greater harmony and expansion, in less struggle and resistance, and be felt as more and more positive emotion – from peace and stillness all the way to joy, ecstasy and bliss. The easiest way to do that, is to cultivate compassion, love and gratitude toward everything.
