Why I can't feel good all the time

If the Creator is omnipotent, and we are that Creator, then both free will and predetermination must be possible. So how come there is so much debate in the spiritual community about free will, and whether or not it exists?

If there is something to debate, some viewpoint to defend, then the decision to have free will has already been made.

The difference is this:

If there is free will, then there must also be someone who has free will, who can act, make decisions, and who can direct life's trajectory. If there is an act, there must also be an actor. It is not possible to have one without the other. Yet if that is true, then that someone has to take responsibility for those actions and decisions, and will feel their weight in the form of guilt, shame, or anger, but also as pleasure, joy, excitement, or all kinds of other feelings. If there is free will in the mind of the experiencer, then there are always waves of emotions. It cannot be otherwise. Whether it is a raging sea or a calm one, it is always restless, and never without ripples.

If, on the other hand, there is no free will and everything is predetermined, then there is no one who acts and makes decisions, no one who directs where life is going, and, consequently, no one who is weighed down or lifted up by what happens. There is no guilt, no shame, no anger, no pain, but also no pleasure, no joy, no excitement and no ecstasy. The sea of consciousness is always perfectly calm, without a single ripple. There are no emotional ups and downs, nothing but a sense of quiet peacefulness, a total, all-encompassing stillness.

So who makes the decision whether or not there is free will?

We do. Each aspect of creation is a creation unto itself. Like a hologram, every part of the whole contains the whole. Therefore, that decision is made individually, and yet for the totality that is experienced by that aspect of the totality, as it is seen from its particular point of view. In other words: As we change, our whole universe changes with us.

If there is free will, then there is an I that has a certain perspective. There is a standpoint that is defended against others, and an ego that must be protected. There is good and evil, or wanted and unwanted. There is an I, and there is a whole universe to discover which is not I. Consciousness is contracted to a point which is influenced by its surroundings, just like the surroundings are influenced by that point of focus. This is what creates emotions and experiences.

The smaller the point of focus, and the greater the difference in vibration to its surroundings, the more intense the emotion. In other words, the more an experience differs in frequency from the baseline, the more intensely the perceiver is affected due to the energetic shift. Higher vibration equals more energy, equals stronger positive emotions. Lower vibration equals less energy, equals stronger negative emotions.

The smaller the point of focus, the easier it is to raise its frequency by increasing the rate of energy. That is why a singular point of focus can easily lead to altered states of consciousness. In a natural setting this is perfectly harmless and can even be beneficial. Athletes call this "being in the zone". In a more unnatural setting, whereby the point of focus is contracted with the help of drugs, frequency can be altered in a way that cannot be controlled by the body's inherent intelligence, and so the health of the user can be negatively affected. The body will try to make adjustments as best as it can, but putting it in a state of extreme stress often, or for prolonged periods of time, will inevitably result in detrimental health conditions. A part of the book "Fat - Chance to heal?" talks about that.

Whether it is a natural raising of one's vibration, or a somewhat unnatural one with the help of drugs, the caveat is that as long as I experience it, what goes up must come down. There is no way around that. After a high there must be a low. This is especially pronounced with drug use and the resulting withdrawal symptoms. But also in a natural setting, where the body's inherent control mechanisms are not circumvented, it can lead to health problems, addictive behaviour (food cravings, porn consumption, gambling, adrenaline rushes, or the countless different forms of self-harming, to name a few) and various other, unwanted side-effects in the life of the experiencer.

The bottom line is this: As long as there is a sense of self and of not-self, it is not possible to always feel great. It is possible, however, to raise the baseline, if one knows what to do and what not to do. The Services section on this website offers help if you would like to change your life, or want to overcome addictions or unwanted behaviours. To take the next step on the path to healing or spiritual growth, all you have to do is ask the right questions, and answers shall be given.

Contrary to all that, if there is no free will, then there is no particular I which plays a role in the story, and has a certain perspective. There is no standpoint that needs to be defended, and no ego that must be protected. There is no good and evil, no wanted and unwanted. Everything just is what it is. The universe that is discovered is merely found to be more of oneself. There is no other. Everything that is encountered is I. As vibration rises, consciousness expands, and encompasses all that is experienced, whatever may be experienced at any given moment. There is no shifting in terms of frequency from one point to another, because all is one. Therefore, there can be no ripples or waves that would generate emotional ups and downs. All that is, is calm and peaceful, and from the perspective of the experiencer, it keeps expanding, unendingly. What is experienced, therefore, is simply more and more of beingness itself.

The state of being where there is an experience without a separate self, with nothing to defend and no one to protect, without good and evil, wanted and unwanted, is what is commonly called enlightenment. If the goal is to reach that enlightened state - a return to paradise, to use a biblical term - then the proximity to it can be determined by the emotional ripples and waves in the sea of one's consciousness. Yet as long as there is someone who strives to reach that state, it can never be realized. The striving itself is what defeats the endeavour. Only when the seeker realizes that paradise has never been left except in imagination, will be found that which was never lost.
